Good Ole Pound Cake

I Stumbled accross this recipe when I was looking for something that made a more substaintal cake! It has turned into a major favourite and I love to add flavourings to change it up a little.

Ingredients:
225g Butter
3 C Sugar
6 eggs
4 C Flour
3/4 C Milk
2 tsp Vanilla
1-2 tsp Flavour essence (optional)
Method:
1) Preheat Oven to 180 and grease and line prefured cake tin
2) Cream Butter and Sugar
3) Add eggs one at a time mix well after each addition
4) Slowly add Flour and milk alternatly starting and finishing with Flour
5) Add Vanilla and Flavour essence
6) Pour into prepped tin making sure it is not more than 2/3 full
7) Bake for 1 and a half hours.
Allow to cool in tin for at least 20 minutes before removing. once it is completely cool decorate as desired i have decorated this cake with butter cream as well as fondant.
