This is an Annabel Langbein recipe originally. A nice twist on an old favourtie. you can add your choice of chutneys and sauces to make a flavour you prefur.

Ingredients:
6-8 Sausages
1-2 Onion
1 Apple (granny smith is best)
1 Tblspn Butter
1 Tblspn Oil
1 Tblspn Brown Sugar
1 Tlspn Soy Sauce
1 Tblspn Chutney
1 tsp Sweet chilli sauce
1 C Stock
1 Tblspn Balsamic Vinegar
Method:
1) Brown sausages and set aside
2) Peel and dice the apple and onion
3) In a large heavy bottom pot brown Saute the onion and apple in oil and butter until slightly softened
4) Add the brown sugar and allow to caramalize
5) add the soy sauce. chutney, sweet chilli, and Balsamic and mix well
6) add the sausages. ( I like to slice mine first but its all personal preference) and stock
if sausages arent covered with stock you can add more stock till covered or top up with water
7) cover pot and allow to simmer away till sausages are cooked through.
8) to make the sauce into a gravy mix 2 Tsp on cornflour with 5 tsp on water and add to pot mix until sauce thickens.
