A little Different: Ginger Bread Cookies

These are not your normal ginger bred cookies they are a yummy soft cookies perfect for afternoon tea. Beware these cookie dough is deliciously addictive!

Ingredients:

3 C Flour

2Tsp Ground ginger

1 Tsp Cinnamon

1 Tsp Baking Soda

1/4 Tsp Nutmeg

1/4 Tsp Salt

175g Butter

3/4 C Brown Sugar- Firmly Packed

1/2 C Golden Syrup

1 Egg

1Tsp Vanilla extract

1/4 C Sugar

Method:

1) Preheat oven to 180

2) Whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl

3) Cream Butter and sugar until light and fluffy

4) Add egg, golden syrup, and vanilla and mix well

5) Gradually add flour mix. mix until smooth

6) Roll into teaspoon sized balls then roll in sugar place on lined tray 3-4 cams apart

7) bake for 8-10 minutes until edges start to brown

allow to cool on tray for a few minutes before removing.
